The fastest man ever to walk (or run upon) the earth, Jamaican Usain Bolt, continues to prove that performance enhancing drugs are not necessary to be the best in the World. While other athletes have failed drugs tests recently, the very man they have been trying to beat maintains a clean record.

During the Diamond League Athletics Meet in Paris earlier this month, Bolt stated,

“I am clean, I’m sure about that. I welcome people to test me every day if necessary to prove it to the world. I have no problem.”

Autobiography Usain Bolt Faster Than Lightning

Yesterday, Bolt announced via social media sites Twitter and Facebook that he would be releasing his official autobiography, “Usain Bolt Faster Than Lightning” in September. His story will highlight the need for hard work, dedication, motivation and raw talent required to be the best in the World.

World Records

Usain Bolt has stunned the world by breaking an astonishing 7 athletics world records (including some set by himself) over 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 by 100 metres relay. Usain Bolt’s current record time for the 100 metres stands at 9.58 seconds.  He achieved the time at the Berlin World Athletics Championships 2009, smashing the previous 9.72 seconds record set by fellow countryman Asafa Powell.

Honours List

In addition to his six Olympic gold medals and five World Championship gold medals, Bolt was honoured in 2008 with the title of Commander of the Order of Distinction. In 2009 at 23 years of age, Bolt became the youngest member of the Order of Jamaica which is the equivalent of a knighthood in the British honours system. Bolt’s full title today is Dr. the Honourable Usain Bolt, OJ, CD.

Most people believe that all athletes are guilty of doping. I still feel that out of 7 billion people on the Planet, a few are exceptional at what they do. Bolt is one of them as far as I’m concerned
